The S100 provides a simple method of connecting a RS-232 device to a fibre-optic communications loop. It allows devices with different baud rates to be present on the same loop and independently addressable. Data transfer is possible via fast serial fibre optic. Fibre optic loop controller modules are available to connect multiple devices to a single Ethernet port. DLLs are provided for Windows™ systems and Labview™. The embedded software can be updated via the serial interface. The S100 complies with EN61010-1:2001 electrical safety and CE standards
